Jeff Epule: A Camerounian Born Jim Iyke Has Risen In Nigeria

The Jim Iyke look alike has no time for idle talks. He has worked hard to be who he is now and is enjoying every minute of fame, success and more work!

“I love what I do and don’t want to ever look back and regret anything I said or did on or off the camera,” Jeff Epule said recently.

The actor who got his breakthrough in the 2011 flick “Triangle of Tears” has been featured in more than five major movies since then including “Blood or Wine,” co-produced by Jim Iyke, and this year’s most anticipated motion picture, “Decoded.”

“The world will finally get to know who Jeff is and what he is capable of doing with “Decoded,” says the film’s producer, Teh Reagan. “He was on his A game and will ever be.”

Recently proclaimed one of the Fabulous 6 stars in Cameroon, Epule has upped the ante by increasing his fee this year to match his skyrocketing star power. And if anyone doubts that he deserves it, winning Best Actor at the 2012 Cameroon Entertainment Awards in United States and the 2012 DAMA Best Actor Award for “Decoded” only makes him even more valuable.

“He’s one of the most dedicated actors I’ve ever seen,” Jim Iyke himself confirms!!

2face Idibia is clearly enjoying his union with his wife Annie, after he described her has number 1 African Queen. Looks like these two were created for eachother.

2face Idibia opened up in a recent interview about how his wife, Annie makes him happy and also described the feelings he has for her as extra-ordinary, making him lucky to have her as his wife.

2baba said this when he was asked if he believes in fairy tale romance or if real life has been something different to him. The Living Legend answered, “Love is understanding, so, for me, I don’t think there is anything like fairy tale about love”.

“I just believe that if there is this person you can cope with or blend with, for some reasons you cannot explain, you just want to hang with this person all the time and anytime you are not with that person, there is something missing, then you can describe that as love”.

When further asked if Annie makes him feel what he described above, 2Face, in his usual humorous manner answered, “Na so e be my brother because if no be like that, we for no dey talk that story by now”.

Omawumi To Feature In A New Ghollywood Film

Omawumi was spotted on set with Yvonne Nelson, Majid Micheal, Francis Odega and a few other people.

Genevieve Nnaji’s Scenes Deleted From ‘Half A Yellow Sun’ Movie

In the course of last year, Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji had the privilege of working with some top Hollywood actors on the set of Chimamanda Adiche’s Half of A Yellow Sun.

But it appears the actress would not have the pleasure of seeing her scenes when the yet-to-be-released movie, directed by Niyi Bandele, goes to the cinemas.

It is gathered that Genevieve Nnaji’s scenes weren’t important to the story and has thus been deleted.

A reliable source who has seen the movie said, “I figured that because of Genevieve Nnaji’s way of acting, her character dragged the storyline, so it was cut out during editing.”

Speaking further the source said, “Her minor role was [just a] compensation to Nollywood…. she should not try to go to the cinemas to see the film with her family members, else she will give herself heartache.”

Its also gathered that Genevieve Nnaji will only be seen in a party scene in the finished Half of A Yellow Sun movie.

Watch Out Yall, Don Jazzy Is Set To Launch His Own Clothing Line

Nigerian Artistes You Should Watch Out For In 2013

So 2012, amazing year that it was, is firmly behind us. We turn our attention now to the next 12 months.

Nigeria’s Music industry would definitely experience a wide range of new hits and good album releases in 2013. Here is the list of the artistes you should watch-out for in 2013:

At the moment, the difference in impact between Oliver Twist, D’Banj’s first true global breakthrough hit, and the three subsequent singles seems a difficult one to erase.
Oliver Twist coincided with the upsurge of African urban music (“Afrobeats” as some call it) in the UK, and by default he became something of a poster boy for it. The truth is D’Banj – “the Michael Jackson of Africa” (Wyclef’s moniker for him) – has never made a memorable album. His position as one of Africa’s highest paid entertainers is due largely to the singles masterminded by his famously estranged producer and business partner Don Jazzy.
But now, after the infamous fallout and those big announcements – signing to the UK’s Mercury Music and more recently to Sony Music Africa – everyone seems to be waiting, arms folded, to see what D’banj will do next.

2baba as popularly called is currently working on an international compilation of his album away and beyond. He has over the time proven that he is ready to take over the music industry for a long period. 2face’s single ihe neme is still the Nigerian popular street burster.

P-Square are a Nigerian R&B duo composed of identical twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye. In December 2011, they were also signed to Akon’s Konvict Muzik label. In May 2012, they also signed a record distribution deal with Universal Music South Africa. They have been nominated for several awards and won most right from when they started. In 2012 they won the Channel O Music Video Awards – Best Duo, Group or Featuring Music Video (“Chop My Money” with Akon and May D). We expect more in 2013.

When Tiwa Savage – former backing singer for Mary J Blige, Sting, George Michael, Kelly Clarkson and Spice Girls – entered UK singing TV talent contest X-Factor in 2006, she couldn’t possibly have predicted her path to glory would go the way that it has: the Grammy nod for a song she wrote for Fantasia and the vocal performance credit on Whitney Houston’s ‘I Look To You’ are old news for the Nigerian singer-songwriter whose star now towers above her labelmates’ at Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.
To be honest, Tiwa is not just the ‘first lady of the stable’ as is popularly bandied about. She is to Mavin what D’Banj was to Mo’Hits – the main event. From Kele Kele, the break out solo single that heralded her strategic move back to Naija, through her flawless pairing with the likes of Flavour N’abania, she has not hit a single bum note. But she’s also yet to drop her debut album, though the word from her camp is that 2013 is the year.

Banky has had a busy year promoting his artistes and finding time to put out some new body of music. Already, his latest singles, Yes/No and Good Good Loving, have given a foretaste of what is to come and expect when his album eventually drops on Valentine’s Day r.Lets see if Banky still has the spark in him.

This Mavin Records artiste has proven to be one of the best Nigerian male vocalists. Wande coal’s most recent singles, Private Trips, Go Low and ‘Been Long You Saw Me’ did not disappoint many of his fans. His album, which has been long in coming, is one of the most anticipated in the industry. Lets hope he drops it early enough.

Iyanya is Undoubtedly one of Nigeria’s most successful reality show products, Iyanya dumped his good boy image this year and settled for a muscular built and tattooed body. This appears to have paid off as his single ‘Kukere’ has boosted his career

Timaya is a Nigerian singer and songwriter who has been an award winning Nigerian musician popular for socially conscious music that constantly references the role of God in overcoming difficult circumstances.
Timaya is currently one of top stars of the Nigerian music scene, with a lot of other musicians interested in doing collaborations with him. He has collaborated with J Martins and P Square on the J Martins award winning Owey (Which Kind Life), with Kefee on Kokoroko, Spyder Man and others.
He was on top of his game last year, let’s see what his going to give his fan this year.

Chinedu Okoli a.k.a. Flavour N’abania who is well known for his ability to sing fluently in the Igbo language,.
In 2012 he was nominated for several awards and he won the Channel O Music Video Award with the song which her features ‘Tiwa Savage’ titled. ‘Oyi’ which has motivated him and in 2013, we are looking forward into more awards and songs from him.

The list of artists we expect to thrill their fans worldwide in 2013 are endless, more to come from your favourite Entertainment site ‘NAIJASCOOP’.
